We're going to try to preempt all your questions here, but if you have any doubts we don't cover, don't hesitate to get in touch with us. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
How do I get to Puerto Rico?
If you are flying into Puerto Rico to join us, first, thank you! We know traveling to PR can be a challenge.
You should fly in and out of San Juan International Airport (SJU), which is easily accessible with direct flights from nearly all major cities on the east coast.
Where should I stay?
The wedding venue is about 20 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from Old San Juan. There are lots of hotels and AirBnB rental options in the San Juan area that are available.
On Friday and Sunday we will be hosting a BBQ and Brunch, for family and out-of-town guests, at a house in Río Grande, about 30 minutes east of the airport. We also recommend looking at some hotels and AirBnBs in that area. Río Grande has beach and mountains and there are some rentals up in the hills that have spectacular views of the island.
Take a look at the Travel tab for more details on hotel and rental options.
If I'm coming in from out of town, do I need to rent a car?
Not necessarily. If you're staying in the San Juan area, Ubers are abundant and can get you from your accommodations to our wedding venue and back without any issue.
That may not be the case for getting to and from our BBQ and Brunch venue. It's a bit more remote and Ubers may be less available. If you have accommodation ideas in mind, we'd be happy to let you know specifically what we think about your situation.
What is the attire?
We are aiming for Guayabera Chic as the dress code for the weekend. We want you to be comfortable and ready for warm weather and dancing. Please don't wear black ties or evening gowns!
Linens, seersuckers, summer dresses, or your favorite warm weather attire is recommended. We're happy to recommend some guayabera shops we like in case you're interested.
